5 Gifts That Men Want: December 2010
64Whether he is your friend, boss, brother or the special man in your life choosing the perfect gift proves to be more difficult every year. So this year I have compiled a list of the top gifts men want for Christmas. The list is based on the wish lists I have received this year, the men I talk to, and the things I know I would love to receive.
Happy Holidays, Enjoy!
Cigars – Monthly Cigar Club
Keep him happy
Cigars have been a man favorite for decades! What most non-cigar smokers do not realize is that there is a plethora of cigars out there and they are as complex as the whiskey he will wash them down with. This makes it very difficult for an "outsider" to buy the right cigar. So instead of trying to choose between a maduro wrapped solomon and a Connecticut wrapped belicoso, choose the cigar club instead. Cigar clubs like the one featured on Cigars International are a great way for him to experience new brands and styles, and makes the choosing easy on you. Cigar clubs send out 4 different cigars per month, all of which are top notch, along with a box of matches and a free cutter in the first month.
Cigars International - $20 per month.
Dopp - Leather Wallet
Keep him refined
Dopp leather goods became widely popular during WWII when American Soldiers were issued Dopp travel kits. Dopp is now under the Buxton Company, which has been known for its quality and craftsmanship for over 100 years, so you know Dopp products have and will stand the test of time. Their wallets are no exception to this, being made of fine cowhide and stitched to perfection. Dopp also uses designs that are slightly modified from the standard but make the product much more practical to use. Dopp bi-fold wallets are taller than most which allows them to sit flatter and are much more comfortable in the back pocket.
Ebags.com – has the bi-folds on sale for $15.99
Underwear – BodyAware
Keep him looking good
Men’s underwear is one the hottest trends right now. Boring boxers and briefs of the old days are out and a new class of underwear for men is making a huge impact in fashion. I highly recommend BodyAware, which has been in business for over 23 years and is a leader in the emerging underwear scene. BodyAware has a large variety of styles, colors, and fits so you are sure to find something to replace those out dated nickers he is currently wearing. They make all of their products them selves, most of which are made in the USA. Their quality is superb and they continuously get high remarks from customers and reviewers. They offer underwear, swimwear, gym wear, lounge wear, and sleep wear all of which will fit him right, support him all day and keep him looking and feeling good.
BodyAware.com – $10+(varies by style).
Cologne – Gucci Pour Homme II
Keep him smelling good
Cologne adds the finishing touch to every outfit so the perfect cologne is essential. Men are infamous for throwing together their outfits and not spending a lot of time on hair, but they do take the time to find the right cologne. I highly recommend Gucci Pour Homme II, the smell is incredible and it gets attention. It is sporty enough to wear out on Friday night, good enough to be worn on a date, and professional enough to be worn to work. I am not sure if there truly is all-purpose cologne, but this just may be it. Don’t let the Gucci name throw you off either, it is reasonably priced, and will last a long time. I recommend shopping around to find the best price, Amazon is always a good bet, or your local Tj Maxx, Ross, or similar store may have it for a great price.

Golf – Trunk it Golf Gear Case
Keep him organized
What do you get for the golfer who has it all? An organizer for him to carry it around in! This organizer is perfect for his shoes, golf balls, tees, and all other miscellaneous golf items. The shoe side is ventilated to allow the shoes to breathe and the compartments inside are adjustable so he can customize the space to his gear. It is composed of a heavy nylon material and has a handle to carry it from car to car and car to cart. There are a few options out there but I recommend the ProActive Sports Trunk It Golf Gear Organizer.
